1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ETCurrency website and its content (the “Service”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Informational purpose only — no financial advice

The Service provides exchange rates, commodity prices, market data and educational content for general informational and price-transparency purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal or other professional advice, and nothing on the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or exchange any currency, asset or instrument. You are solely responsible for any decision you make. Consider seeking advice from a licensed professional before acting.

3. Accuracy of data and “as is” nature of rates

Exchange rates — including parallel-market (unofficial) rates — and prices are aggregated from public and third-party sources, are estimates, may be delayed, and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Rates change constantly. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or availability of any data, and you should independently verify any figure with official or licensed sources before relying on it or transacting.

4. No facilitation of unlawful activity; your compliance

The Service reports on currency markets for transparency; it does not facilitate, broker or arrange currency transactions and does not encourage you to break any law. Foreign-exchange rules differ by country and change frequently. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any transaction you undertake is legal in your jurisdiction and conducted through licensed, regulated channels.

5. No partnership or endorsement

Any money-transfer operators, exchanges, platforms or other providers referenced on the Service are named for informational comparison only. We do not partner with, endorse, or earn commission from them, and we do not publish their live fees or rates. References do not imply any affiliation or recommendation.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• scrape, harvest or systematically extract data except as expressly permitted (for example, via tools or widgets we provide);
• interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service;
• misrepresent the data or pass it off as your own official rate.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its text, design, compiled data, and software, is owned by Parallel Exchange or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial use. Where we provide embeddable widgets or data with attribution requirements, you must comply with those requirements.

8. Third-party links and content

The Service may link to or display third-party websites, data and advertising. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, services or privacy practices. Accessing them is at your own risk.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARALLEL EXCHANGE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF — OR INABILITY TO USE — THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ANY DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ETCurrency and its operators from any claims, damages, losses and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

We may modify or discontinue the Service, and may update these Terms, at any time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where required by local law, mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence continue to apply.
